Lake Seminole Square celebrated 32 years.

Staff members pose for a picture with residents in front of Lake Seminole Square senior living community.

The week-long celebration consisted of a gala dinner and a champagne toast with residents as well as festivities throughout the week. Festivities included a concert where Act 3 performed for residents & staff, as well as an appearance by a well renowned magician!

Three of Lake Seminole Square’s original residents live at the community and one associate is still employed. One of the community’s newest residents is John Barrett, who was the actual builder of the project. Residency counselors Geri-Kay Lumbard and Donna Hoffman were co-workers who helped create the dream of a carefree, joyous and active lifestyle with security and luxury at Lake Seminole Square. Years later, they have both chosen to live that life that they helped build for many resident in the past.

“It is so satisfying to see the promise we made to residents 32 years ago are still being kept alive today,” said Lumbard.

The community currently serves approximately 400 residents and was proud to see most of them participating in the anniversary festivities.

“I am grateful for the opportunity to have served at Lake Seminole Square for the last 32 years,” said Frank Skapura, Plant Operations Director. “It was a fun week where both our staff and residents were able to come together and celebrate what our community means to them.”
